Baby Panda Bear with Mother Shower Invitation

Here is my newest creation! I just love panda bears. I fell in love with them the first time I saw them in a zoo in Japan when I was 7 years old. Since then I have always been drawn to them. I even made my first son's baby nursery with a panda bear theme. So, I decided to design this abstract Panda mother caressing her cub. I designed the image originally as an applique for my baby accessory business. I have made a few blankets with this design. So, it is easy to make a baby shower invitation with my original design.

The bamboo accents this card to bring their environment to life. I hope one day I can see Pandas in person again!

Cards for many occasions

What have I been doing lately? Designing cards for all occasions. It's been really fun getting back to something I really enjoy doing. I have already had quite a big success with my Baby Sea Turtles baby shower invitations and birth announcements so I decided to take it a step further and apply my other animal designs to cards. I also have quite a bit of experience designing cards when I worked in corporate America. My last company utilized my talents quite a bit having me design all sorts of invites for their events. But, I am not just doing baby shower invites and birth announcements. I am tapping into wedding, birthday, business cards and stationery. It will take some time to build up inventory (or should I say digital inventory). I offer my cards digitally for anyone to take to any photo finisher or printer of their choice. But, customers can also choose printing their cards through me. All in all, it has been fun and exciting starting something new and I am feeling very hopeful that this will be a fun little side business.

Masterpiece - My Baby Sea Turtles Quilt and Nursery Collection

I can't help but be a little proud of my Sea Turtle Nursery Collection especially when it is all put together in a room with the crib.

It took hours and hours to complete. It wasn't easy doing it with a toddler and newborn to look after, but I couldn't let my client down.

To see more photos go to my Flickr site.

I am accepting orders for some of the pieces from this collection. Please email for any questions.

The Holidays

As I wrap up projects before the holidays begin, I am looking towards the new year with some new designs and new accessories. But, for the entire month of December I am taking a break from production to enjoy the holidays with my family.

My Sea Turtle Nursery Collection has been in great demand and I can't seem to keep up with production. So, with that said, I unfortunately have had to cut back and offer only a few pieces from the collection at this time. If I could only clone myself!

I have high hopes for 2009 and I hope I can get better organized so I can take on more clients. Like I mentioned in my last post, I am having a hard time juggling young kids and my business.

It's Been a While

It has been quite a long time since I blogged on my site. It's largely due to that fact that I am seriously overwhelmed with taking care of my kiddos. Ever since my son was born this past June and taking care of my 3 year old son life has just been so crazy! I make all these goals for myself and "to-do" lists, but only a fraction of that list gets accomplished. So, with that said, I simply have not had any time to dedicate to my business. I still have some outstanding orders that I have to complete, but once I am done with that I will be taking a break from the business and only producing items when I have the time. This is not to say that if someone were to ask me to create something custom for them I wouldn't entertain the request.

On another note, I recently reviewed my sales report for the entire year (Etsy, CafePress and Zazzle) and here are the stats for my most popular designs (1 being the most popular)

1. Baby Sea Turtle

2. Baby Panda & Mama
3. Pink (Sakura) Cherry Blossom
4. Blue Elephant Walk
